Welcome!

We are the new, international type club for owners and pilots of Cessna's light, extended performance singles. These models, found on the FAA Type Certificate 3A17, are truly a model series just as the 172’s found on 3A12 Type Certificate are a model series. Starting with the 175, it continues on and includes all these models:

175, 175A, 175B, 175C, P172D, R172E, R172F, R172G, R172H, R172J, and R172K.

The French built FP172D and FR172E, FR172F, FR172G, FR172H, FR172J, and FR172K were put on the type certificate A18EU, but they are so identical to the American made models that several share the same parts books!

These aircraft, although similar in size to the 172, are all higher performance with more horsepower and higher gross weights. They carry a colorful variety of names, including the Skylark, the Skyhawk Powermatic, the Mescalero, the Reims Rocket, and the Hawk XP. Many of the airplanes flying today are a hybrid of the models in our club, as the older 175’s are often upgraded to more modern configurations.

Being a member of our club will help you plan and integrate the most useful modifications available through STC or form 337 for your airplane, both through web-based support and other members who may have already performed conversions like one you may be interested in. The forum, personal webpage (called a Blog, who knows why??) and photo gallery all help you share your experience with others. We offer downloads of owners manuals, maintenance manuals, illustrated parts breakdowns, original magazine reports from the 50's, 60's, and 70's for these airplanes, and more! Membership pricing starts at just $25 per year and helps support the ongoing research we are doing to help preserve the parts and equipment updates we are constantly working on to help insure the longevity of these great aircraft! As time goes on, more and more parts and made obsolete by manufacturers and it is up to type clubs, like ours, to keep the pressure up on vendors to provide safe, affordable alternatives to parts that are out of production.
